Tallahassee Quarterback Club Names Players of the Week

The Tallahassee Quarterback Club has announced their Players of the Week. The club chose Co-Defensive Players of the Week this week and therefore there is not a Special Teams Player of the Week.

Players will receive their awards this Thursday at their respective high schools.

Offensive Player of the Week:
Delvon Williams, Rickards High School
24 carries for 231 yards and 1 touchdown

Co-Defensive Players of the Week:
Gabe Kenon, Rickards High School
9 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2 interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, 1 forced fumble

Tomas Swickley, Florida High
11 tackles, 8 solo, 2 tackles for loss

Offensive Lineman of the Week:
Alex Clark, North Florida Christian
Graded out at 91% with 4 knockdowns. Team had 268 rushing yards.

The Tallahassee Quarterback Club’s next meeting is October 13, 2015 at the University Center Club at FSU. The speaker will be Jackie Sherrill, former player at Alabama for Bear Bryant and former coach at Pittsburg and Texas A&M.

The Tallahassee Quarterback Club was formed in 1949 to support local high school and college football. The club and its members show their passion for the game of football while recognizing and supporting good sportsmanship. The club’s official meetings are during the football season; however several social and networking opportunities are planned throughout the year.
