All City Races Headed to Runoffs

All three races for seats on the Tallahassee City Commission are headed to a runoff.

In the race for mayor, Leon County Commissioner John Dailey (17,357) and former Chief of Staff for Mayor Andrew Gillum Dustin Daniels (11,088) received the most votes. Former state legislator Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda finished third (9,127). A total of 43,690 votes were cast.

In the City Commission Seat 3 race, business owner Jeremy Matlow (15,657) and credit union CEO Lisa Brown (13,277) finished one and two. A total of 40,765 votes were cast.

In City Commission Seat 5, Dianne Williams-Cox came in first (19,749). Bob Lotane (9,438) edged out Howard Kessler (9,023) for a spot in the runoff. A total of 40,500 votes were cast.

  1. I believe Gillum’s win will give Daniels a boost and we may see an upset here.

    As for the other two races I believe it will be Matlow and Williams- Cox to take the wins.
