Lincoln Remains at the Top of Local Football Rankings

The Lincoln Trojans remain at the top of the most recent MaxPreps high school football rankings for teams in Leon County.

The table pictured below shows the ranking of the 10 high schools located in Leon County that have football teams based on current record, overall rating and strength of schedule as shown in MaxPreps. The stats used in this edition of high school football rankings were updated by MaxPreps up on September 22, 2024.

Lincoln

As the Trojans move to 4-0, they remain in the first spot in this week’s Tallahassee high school football rankings. Lincoln’s last game, against Ware County, was a defensive battle with the Trojans winning 10-0. Lincoln will have their first in-district game against the Leon Lions on 9/27 at Bobby Benson Field.

FSUHS

After a commanding 55-14 win against South Walton, Florida High improved to 3-2 on the season and are second in this week’s Tallahassee high school football rankings. Running back Teagan Hackett (Jr.) had another impressive performance with 2 touchdowns and 130 yards on 15 carries. Similar to Lincoln, the Seminoles will play their first in-district game this week at Taylor County on September 27.

Rickards

Last week Rickards played a tough game against Colquitt County losing 44-17 bringing their record to 3-2 on the season. Rickards remains third in the Tallahassee high school football rankings. They will also play their first in-district game against Ft. Walton Beach away on 9/27.
