We use Next door and it is a pain. You get emails, but you have to sign in to respond. Just use twitter or instagram.

I live in a neighborhood that is plagued with home robberies and have been using nextdoor since our first break-in. It is a good way to look out for each other and put awareness out there when the thugs are at it again.

LCSO is also active on our Nextdoor app, so we do know that they are aware of the chatter about us homeowners trying to secure and maintain our property.

It would be nice though if LCSO would actually catch these thieves that have been terrorizing our neighborhood for 4 straight years now. The neighbor across the street has been hit 4 times in the 4 years we have lived there. They left blood evidence when they came in through our bedroom window….nothing. The LCSO deputy that came to our break-in didn’t even do a perimeter check! My husband came home and moved the mattress out of the way to discover the window was the POE and had to call the deputy back out to get pictures because he just kept asking us if we were SURE we didnt leave our doors unlocked while we were at work! Talk about lazy,,,,,

There goes the cops beat reporter…into the dustbin of fake news history. Another in a long, long list of reasons not to waste your money by putting it into Gannett exec’s pockets.

Social media might have some redeeming value after all.
