This “Childrens’ Services district” is just another COT ploy to extract even more money (in the form of “taxes”) from the citizens. Won’t surprise me a bit if several construction projects, new “property developments”, and public relations campaigns for this “Children’s Services district” are magically and urgently required in a short time. All with several COT commissioner’s and gillum’s customary bid-rigged, payola-loaded “approvals”. Sadly that’s the way this town’s govt. runs. Hopefully, the FBI will bring a stunning and punitive halt to all that.

I heard on the radio this morning that gillum said he’ll pass “common-sense” gun legislation. Again, liberal codespeak implying that anyone who disagrees with their gun-ban (and eventual gun confiscation) mantra lacks common sense. Ironic language for gillum, since most people with possess common sense don’t vote for liberals. Common-Sense people also tend to raise and assume responsibility for their own children, which gets back to the “Children’s Services” COT tax-hike ploy.

Hear! Hear!! Why would this be just for property owners anyway? So unnecessary and just more money going into the bottomless pit of “the nanny state”. Start holding parentS responsible for their little darlings. Yes that is a plural – it takes TWO to tango. Some people LOVE to tango, but they don’t want to be bothered with the end results – THAT needs to change!

Absolutely no more taxes for any do-gooder projects in Leon County !! Children have all the county /taxpayer care products that are needed. Teach the parents how to get off their butts and provide for what they created—do not depend on the “”village”” to raise your off spring—Amen .

Just more smoke by the weak city commission and a crooked mayor. The city can pass all the gun regulation it wants tho the first time they try to actually enforce 1. The tax payers are going to take it the wallet. Makes you wonder who votes these people in ? They are so bad the FBI had to open a local office just to cut down on all the travel expense

“Reasonable” Firearms regulation is Liberal codespeak, just as when the Liberals refer to “Common Sense” Gun Legislation – implying that their confiscation and banning of all guns is mainstream America “common sense”. If any of the Commissioners had bothered to look, they’d know that there already ARE waiting periods for the purchase of most firearms, unless you have a FL Concealed Carry license, which means you already have gone through the extensive FBI background check and fingerprint database. All that said, I don’t have a problem with highly extensive background checks for military-style assault weapons or especially high-capacity magazines, but I do have a problem with Liberals being able to “classify” guns – one way or another, they’d eventually declare most all types of guns as “military style”. Give a Liberal an inch, and they’ll demand their own way completely.

Won’t surprise me a bit if the NRA files a lawsuit on any COT “regulation” that is in conflict with standing FL state laws and/or Federal laws or Constitutional rights. The US Supreme Court already ruled that it’s illegal to have any local Regulations or Laws that are in conflict with the 2nd Amendment (Heller vs. District of Columbia). No wonder the COT wants FL to repeal any statutes that prevents them from making local gun regulations! We can’t have any silly limits on local regulations now, can we?

By the way, it was obama’s “Promise” program that kept the Florida school shooter’s record out of the criminal justice database – that’s why the shooter passed a background check. You want blame for that tragedy? It was obama’s program that directly prevented the gun background check system from working and preventing the shooter’s purchase of guns. Another Liberal policy that cost innocent lives.
