All you have written here is truth. I am one of the candidates that had the benefit of his encouragment and good counsel. If you had Greg as friend, you knew loyalty, care, and honesty. I was not a long-time friend but if he called you friend, you were in his circle of care, respect and loyalty. We had great conversations: intellectual, honest, fun political sparring. He was no-no sense and sometimes his honesty was so inciteful i wished he wasn’t so honest for just a moment but then I would remember that was one of the reasons I valued so highly his unique brand of true friendship. There was only one Greg but his legacy lives brightly on in his namesake and his family. I was truly blessed to call Greg friend. I miss him dearly.
