This is pretty much a non issue.
Anyone who thinks a felon will work harder to pay back fines and victim restitution in order to vote is an idiot.
There are other ways to make felons pay what the courts ordered.
Conservatives would be well advised to expend their energy on some other subject that matters and toss the Godless leftists a bone so they think they won something.
Sheeze let it go already.

The fact is, this appellate ruling makes more sense now. It goes back to a very early concept the framers held sacrosanct. In America there is no debaters prisons, and was later reinforced by the 24th amendment preventing poll taxes.

What the court now says about fees and fines, while the convicted may hold these obligations until death, are *not* to be considered a part of the legal obligation placed upon them at the time of adjudication & sentencing.

While I agree this is a slippery slope where restitution and court financial obligations may hold less weight (if any), Constitutional protections do apply. If we are to be Americans upholding Constitutional values, we must also remind ourselves the protected and sovereign right to vote is paramount.

Once felons serve their time they have paid the price for their crime. This is just a way for the Republicans to keep eligible voters from participating. The people of Florida said they wanted these people to have their rights returned they didn’t vote on how they needed to pay for it. Looks like a “poll tax” to me.

Elections have consquences, and there are still too many activist judges that need to be rotated back to ambulance chasers. Some of these judges act like they’re still in the backrooms of the DNC instead of on the bench.
