It amazes me that people are so low and petty to make comments about a persons weight. How superficial and ignorant. Our city needs people that are business minded. Not just those that have depended on the State to provide jobs for our city. If you have never been in private business you have absolutely no idea what it takes to bring a business into our city. Tallahassee has lost so many businesses in the past thirty years because the city sat back and depended on the state. We have good colleges here to provided excellent workers but they always have to leave to get work . Time for Tallahassee to start working to bring good businesses And good Jobs to our town. Business leaders need to have business experience.

We have had way to many Politician / Attorneys running this country, Trump has been the best thing for America in DECADES and I am Voting for him again right along with Scott Flowers.

WE HAVE ENOUGH OVERWEIGHT POLITICIANS WHO LIKE TO BRAG ON THEIR BUSINESS EXPERIENCE YET CAN’T DEMONSTRATE MUCH SIGNIFICANT, TRULY WORTHY, CIVIC VOLUNTEER OR MILITARY EXPERIENCE WHERE THEY FREELY GAVE OF THEIR TIME TO TRULY HELP THEIR FELLOW MAN (Coaching youth sports is admirable but not a great qualification for Political Leader).

I BELIEVE FUTURE POLITICAL LEADERS SHOULD BE THOSE PERSONS WHO DON’T WAIT TO GET ELECTED TO TRY AND IMPLEMENT CIVIC CHANGE WITH THEIR “GREAT IDEAS”.

FUTURE POLITICAL LEADERS ARE THOSE PERSONS WHO ROUTINELY GO TO PUBLIC MEETINGS/WORKSHOPS AND SERVE ON APPOINTED COMMUNITY BOARDS, ETC. WITHOUT PAY AND ENGAGE AND OFFER UP THEIR GREAT IDEAS/RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHANGE AND VOLUNTEER TO LEAD FOR FREE TO MAKE SURE THE CHANGES HAPPEN IF THEIR “GREAT IDEAS” ARE ACCEPTED.

Tell me your ideas for better government and how you already tried to get these ideas adopted on your own, without having to be an elected official. I want to know you are working for the good of everyone, not just your own self interests.

Long story short, when one doesn’t seem to be in good physical health when they should/could be (if for noone else but their family) and can’t demonstrate truly meaningful previous volunteer time related to civic matters, one doesn’t get my vote because they really only appear to care about themselves.

It is FUN to watch future Elected Wantabees start attending Council meetings a few months before an election, then lose the election, then never get seen at another Council meeting again. WHO WERE THEY REALLY TRYING TO SERVE???

Flowers is one of the two I’m considering for the seat. However, I’m concerned by the continued drivel about systemic inequalities and/or “disparity” coming from all candidates… without presenting a shred of empirical data to support such declarations. Point to the problem, name it, explain it, define the cause, provide the data that supports the claim… then… present a workable solution with assigned accountability and measurable results. Until then it’s just politically expedient gobbledygook. As far as I can tell, the following is an example of “income disparity”:

~ There are two jobs available. Job “A” pays $20 an-hour and requires 8-years of experience… job “B” pays $12 an-hour and requires no experience. The are two applicants for these two jobs. Candidate “1” has 10-years of experience… candidate “2” has no experience. Results; candidate 1 is hired for job A, and candidate 2 is hired for job B. However, candidate 2 now has the opportunity to gain experience and rise to the income level provided by job A… just like anyone and everyone else.

I’m struggling to see the disparity in this common economic structure.

Our tax dollars are going into the black hole and nothing seems to be improving. Hunger, crime, and opportunities seem to be issues. We need more good paying jobs and opportunities and not more CSC programs.

Scott Flowers is exactly the right person at the right time for Leon County.
