Everyone catches the Flu, Toddlers to Seniors. Do Teachers catch the Flu from their Students? I have known many Teachers and I have yet to know any that have caught the Flu from one of their Students. Usually it is from a Family Member or Coworker. Just saying.

I remember when I was in 3rd Grade I had to attend Astoria Park for a few Weeks when we first moved here. There, it was set up where there were 4 Class Rooms laid out in a HUGE open Room, one in each Corner with a big open area in the middle. We were assigned one of those Class Rooms and we stayed there all Day. The Teachers rotated instead of the Students. Maybe it is time to do something like that again but for 1st to 8th Graders.

I will bet that if the Teachers had a choice of full Pay for the Classes in person or Quarter Pay for Teaching On-Line, they would be begging to open the Schools.

I have always supported educators, but this is ridiculous. Unless they have a quantifiable medical condition that would place them at risk, go back to work. These children are suffering far greater harm in many ways being out of school. The union is exploiting this and it’s a bad look. Charter schools and private schools the unions hate will be boosted big time. The poor however will suffer the worst. Get back to school. I wonder if African American educators see or care about the community that is already under served. Where is Proctor, Richardson ETC locally?. Nurses and others from TMH and Capital Regional have also complained and expressed fear of the China Virus, what line of work did you think you were getting into?.

Lazy teachers. I’m sure some will get sick, but they are replaceable. Just like nurses and doctors. They need to do their jobs.

Sometimes unions can be good sometimes not. There used to be an airline called Eastern Airlines and the union won their cause at the expense of the airline having to shut down because the union cost the company so much money it could not go on.

I believe there are more good reasons to open the schools than not.

Let the schools open.

Several private schools have been open and fully operations for over a week now. Many more open today. The public schools and their unions are making a huge mistake by playing politics here. This has nothing to do with safety or the children… it’s all about an election. Parents know it, and thankfully, they’re searching for and finding better options than the Public Indoctrination School System.

DeSantis will likely not do well with lefty Leon County Judge Dotson. But DeSantis already knows that.
My advice is to delay in any way to keep the case away from uber leftist Fed Judge Hinkle until after the Nov Presidential election. Dont let that clown show happen prior to the election and every thing will workout fine.

Interesting, all of the data we’ve been forced to sift through with regard to COVID-19 cases and deaths, yet the propagandists don’t think it’s helpful to disclose just how many teachers have been compelled to retire or quit….suspect.
