Thank you Governor DeSantis for leading! Best governor in America!

On another note I agree that we must get the minutes from the out of the sunshine City Commission meeting that led to the controversial political message that was painted on our public roadway that incited violence.

One of the Commissioners involved in this was recently voted out and the second commissioner will be facing a runoff.

Please forum moderators ask Curtis Richardson about the minutes of the secret black lives matter meeting and the text message that he refuses to divulge between he and Commissioner Bryant on the night she was appointed a City Commissioner.

Curtis was already caught in one lie where he lied about receiving bundled contributions.

We don’t want a commissioner to continue who blatantly lies, incites violence, and hold meetings out of the sunshine.

Florida relies on tourism to keep the state afloat. Explains the no state tax. Most of the people that vacation here are coming from cities that have huge crime issues.
Why would they vacation here? Vacations are for rest, fun and peace.
Thankfully Florida has a Gov that is willing to step up and do something, imagine a Democrat doing this. Hopefully Georgia is next!

This is what happens when you hold an illegal “out of the Sunshine” meeting, refuse any public input on the subject, and illegally vote to illegally allocate taxpayer time, money and resources to paint a giant “Marxists Welcome” sign in the middle of your city.

By the way, has anyone asked for a copy of the minutes taken at the abovementioned “out of the Sunshine” meeting?

In reply to Pragmatic Rick. You think obstructing traffic, burning buildings, looting, or throwing bricks at police should be legal? They’re already crimes and this just gives harsher penalties. I don’t see how it’s unconstitutional. Protest all you want, just don’t commit a crime while you’re doing it.

I. A. The first amendment guarantees “the right of the people peaceably to assemble”. Harassment, vandalism, violence are not “peaceable”. OK
B. Your rights end where mine begin. I pay taxes for that road. Either drive on it, or get the hell out off of it and onto the sidewalk. OK
C. It’s already against the law to destroy public property either alone or with others. OK
D. Harassment and intimidation is not free speech. See first amendment. See also where your rights end and mine begin and Frig off. OK
E. Yeah, people organizing these things should be thrown under the jail. In the case of avowed socialist/communist organizations that aren’t even disguising their intentions to “burn down” the republic they should be charged with sedition.

Sections II and III are OK too. Law enforcement officers are public representatives. We pay them to work for us. They are, in a sense, our representatives. To attack them physically is like attacking your fellow citizens and all of civil society. Under the jail you go. It’s a hard enough job. I’m actually stunned anyone is man enough (or woman enough) to do it in this day and age.

Thanks Governor. A nice way to keep Florida from becoming Oregon.
