Like a lot of folks, we lived on Lakeshore Drive for years. It’s in the county but forced to use city utilities.

So we were just one family of thousands in the area that helped pay for city services through the city’s use of utility revenue that got zero benefit from it. Having been forced to pay the “fire services fee” while already supporting the city’s operating expenses just seems wrong.

FYI to all of our minority population of local conservatives, the few independents, and the majority population of raging emotion driven liberals and wokesters:
A series of property tax incerases is 100% coming to us – one and all – without regard to your political leanings.
Why?
Well now the local population will be given many many feel good reasons but thankfully you have Snidely here to tell you the 100% truth. Yes even before the property tax gouging begins.
Here is the stinky truth my peeps:
The Florida Legislature is taking a deep dive into Florida’s locally operated utility services. They have so far mentioned the woke @55 City of Gainsville as the top offender of diverting utility revenues into “non-utility” local funding spending.
Of course everyone locally knows Tallahassee is a mirror image of Gainsville in the utility revenue diversion scam.
That being said does anybody out there in Tally Reports Land think your local Nanny masters are NOT going to get out in front of the Legislative crackdown on utility revenue diversion and begin very soon proactively jacking up everybodys property tax?
Just in case you can not see the connection let me go all elementry on you – 1.The Legislature puts out there that the local utility slush funding is likely going to be in jeporidy – 2. Where else can local Nannies get such a local slush fund? – 3. BINGO – Correct – You Got It – PROPERTY TAX!!!!!!!!!!
Let me just go on the record right here and now: I Told You So!!!!!!

To help the Farmers & Ranchers and hopefully convince them NOT to sell their land, I would propose that for every Acre that a Farmer grows Vegetables on, they get a $300 Tax Credit and for every Acre that a Rancher uses for Grazing, they get a $200 Tax Credit. Farmers usually divide their Land into two sections, one section gets Planted while the other section rejuvenates then the next Year it gets switched which it is why the Farmer gets $300 per Planted Acre. Just a thought.
