The real story on City Walk is that the Fire Marshal instituted a Fire Watch as a viable alternative as they awaited the sprinkler system install. It’s all in writing.

8 people got OSHA Fire Watch certified and did the appropriate rounds and paperwork.

Then, out of the blue, the same Fire Marshall reneged on the agreement on Friday giving them the weekend to stop allowing people to sleep indoors.

Everything was fine… until it wasn’t.

What changed all of a sudden?

Probably the fact a developer wants to put luxury townhouses on the 9 acres located directly across from the Mission. And brought City Walk up in the commission meeting…

So … the legislature is (again) telling doctors what is good for patients and parents what is good for their kids. The first part no longer surprises me but I thought parents always know best.

I don’t rely on the Steve Stewart show for news. Where is the accurate reporting on the “other” issues regarding the teacher? Crickets. They can’t seem to back up that excuse.

Where are the other reasons for the City of Tallahassee’s HR Director’s “other” issues? Crickets.

If they want to be credible then don’t pawn off the art lesson as the reason because it made Tallahassee look bad. When there is good leadership these things don’t happen at all they’re taken care of before they get to this level

I think the “other” reasons are a mixture of misogyny, poor board leadership (also CSC Board) and poor attempts to cover up corruption.

@ N. Weed. Steve addresses the whole fired principal/Michelangelo issue on his radio show Tuesday. The story you heard and the story the Fake News told were not accurate. Apparently, the Principal was on thin ice, got fired and she said, because of the Michelangelo class. Not true.

To call the Tallahassee Democrat Fake News is an understatement. They purposely reported the firing incorrectly.

Now this is what I call small government in action! Thank goodness that the state of FREEDOM knows that it is the governments job to tell insurers what should be covered, and not Elitist Physicians. Freedom, Freedom, Freedom!

Government Bureaucracy at its finest. It would be safer for you to sleep outside than at the shelter.
