They seem pretty clear why they’re against the tax hike: people don’t want it, city execs are inefficient and wasteful, it will raise costs etc

Are you for the tax increase? Or would you vote with Matlow and Porter in opposing it?

Porter has earned our trust. Guarantee the clowns running against her would vote with the majority and take more prop tax $ from us than they already are!

The progressive Marxicrats on the Commission are only voting against the tax increase because they know the votes are already there to pass it, and yet at the same time, toss a surreptitious bone to their maniac minions who also hate law enforcement. Voting against it allows them to pretend they are fiscally responsible in hopes of drawing in the independent and right-leaning voters.

I think they identify as transconservative.

With all these Subdivisions being built full of High Dollar Homes over the past 4 to 5 Years, our Property Taxes should be going DOWN, not up. STOP WASTING OUT TAX DOLLARS.

Another tax increase session today, where 3 commissioners continue to support raising taxes. Kudos to Porter and Matlow for standing up to it.

Redistributing $10 million more tax dollars because the PBA union wants more dues is not the way forward.

Trulieve has contributed another $550,000 in May to the Smart & Safe Florida political committee with the goal of legalizing recreational marijuana. = GEE, this should be interesting……….

Florida-based Trulieve, already the largest medical marijuana operator in the state, officially became the nation’s biggest cannabis retailer after recently closing on a $2.1 billion merger with former competitor Harvest Health & Recreation Inc.

“Notably, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried has some regulatory oversight of the medical marijuana industry, while she is also deeply enmeshed in what can only be described as a glaring conflict of interest. Fried is not only in an ongoing romantic relationship with Jake Bergmann, a marijuana industry investor and former executive, but she also has a more direct tie to Trulieve in the form of stock ownership with its newly acquired asset, Harvest Health & Recreation. Fried’s most recent financial disclosure showed she still owned $130,000 in Harvest Health stock.”
