I’m all for more officers to keep crime out of Tallahassee. So far we haven’t turned into all these other liberal cities we see where crime runs the town, Please Chief Revell don’t let us turn into a mess like that. The sub houses sounds good to me. I’ve noticed lately that we have more and more illegals with junk laying all over town, especially on CCNW and Tennessee St. next to KFC ? needs cleaned up immediately or we are going to have a real problem. We need to VOTE OUT OUR CRIMINAL PRESIDENT BIDEN and reelect DONALD TRUMP who doesn’t stand a chance the way he is being treated. VOTE TRUMP EVERYONE. The price of gas and food alone will give all of u a little money to help feed those on the street who should be in their own country. JMHO

The “top cop” is a politically appointed position, not an elected one. For the Chief to continue getting his 6 figure salary he’ll fall in line with what the other city officials want or he’ll be replaced.

“the City has invested approximately $31.5 million in programs to systemically combat the rise of violent crime,” ……………Which does NOT work so, there is your $9.5 Million plus some extra to help build a new Bigger Jail. Take about $2 Million of that to purchase Houses in the High Crime areas to turn into Police Sub-Stations where you have 8 to 12 Officers working out of 24/7.

And Steve, stop making excuses for all them, we know they are liberal, we know they will never be remotely conservative on anything, when John Dailey endorses a policy of lying to parents about the well being of their children, that is abhorrent, period. The tax increase is not necessary. Reallocate the “significant investments in non-law enforcement initiatives that have failed to impact violent crime” back to the boots on the ground… and actually “punish” people for “illegal” behavior.

That’s great that Dailey, Williams-Cox, Richardson and Minor support increasing law enforcement but they should support the defunding of failed initiatives in order to pay for it.

I’m not aware of Matlow or Porter ever supporting law enforcement so I have no reason to think they will vote to defund the failed initiatives.
