@Dave — I got a kick out of Pelosi’s statement that the new guy’s prioritizing seating assignments over doing the people’s business. A not so subtle whine about losing her plush office that rightfully should have already been occupied by somebody else.

As we move past McCarthy’s ouster I’m liking it more and more. The timing is damned near perfect. It comes in time to take the Nancy Pelosi budget off the table before we’re saddled with it right up to next year’s national election.

I’m also wondering if McCarthy is thinking, “there’s never a fire alarm when you need one”!

@a skeptic Agree with your assessment 100%.
McCarthy never felt he would be held to his word of honor. But he was.
Its not a let the chips fall where the may situation. That is the assumption that there is no plan for the future after McCarthy’s fall from grace. They have a plan for moving forward.

@Pat — I don’t blame Gaetz. He and the members of his coalition endorsed McCarthy under very specific, negotiated terms. McCarthy has reneged on his promise to Gaetz.

Gaetz’ position may be a short term loser, but it’s the only chance this government has to survive long term.

This million gallon spill of raw sewage calls into question basic competency of the city management. This is the most basic function of local gov, they just raised taxes and force mains, major massive pipes near Canopy are exploding. Not acceptable
