In eight months, we should be able to see Ms. Jackson’s work product as a consultant and how much she was paid for it. This arrangement reeks of a “settlement”.

21. In 2020, Gannett publicly acknowledged a company-wide policy which was purportedly designed to achieve inclusion quotas, but practically speaking disadvantaged class members in terms of their work for the company. (“Reverse Race Discrimination Policy”).

Indeed, upon information and belief, Gannett leadership were entitled to certain bonuses and promotions, and given awards, incentivizing them to staff their newsroom’s workforce with workers of racial and ethnic backgrounds to parity the racial demographics of the communities they serve regardless of racial and ethnic demographics of the applicant pool for each position.“

So, by their own admission, managers got raises/bonuses/promotions for firing older white employees and replacing them with minorities.

Ask yourself: Is this something I would support by buying a product from a company that does business like that?

Mr Hawk,

She is needed to verse her replacement and bring the replacement up to speed so there is not a serious deficiency in the historical knowledge that is needed to service the taxpayers. I’m surprised you don’t understand that.

@ A Skeptic = I to would like to know what her Salary was as a City Attorney and what it will be as a Consultant.

@ Nicholas Weed = I too am bothered by her Treatment and now letting her stay for 8 Months as a Consultant leads me to believe that it is a Pay Off to her so they wont have to admit that THEY did her wrong. I will even bet that being a Consultant is in Title Only.

You should be bothered by her mistreatment by the city manager, assistant city manager, the mayor, Dianne Williams-Cox and Curtis Richardson. Curtis Richardson’s looking the other way is the most disturbing, the lone holdout for doing a nationwide search for a city manager.

I bothered by Casandra Jackson’s “resignation” that has her paid as a consultant for the next 8 months instead of maintaining her position as a staffer. What public information is there to show the position’s salary last month and what her salary will be as a consultant? Tallahassee’s overflowing with overpaid politicians and this reeks of being just another one.
