The way Hugh Tomlinson ran that debate turned me into a Dot supporter. Candidates will stop coming to forums if you dishonestly browbeat them like that.

I attended the Tallahassee A.L.E.R.T. and the NAACP Forum last night, that’s me in the Lime Green Shirt. The article is pretty spot on, the Candidates got a little heated but that was because they were pretty Passionate about their Campaign. I wasn’t expecting the a few in the Audience to get out of control though. Blueprint had no business giving FSU any money and they have no business doing anything with Housing, that is not why we voted that in. If nothing else, let the people Vote on splitting the Penny Sales Tax, 2/3’s for Infrastructure and 1/3 for Affordable Housing. When they talked about the Crime, they brought up some of the Programs but in Name only, I would have liked to of heard about what they actually DID and how they were actually working. I heard both good and bad about the Police Chief but nothing good about the City Manager, maybe both should have to run for Office so we all know who they are and what they have done in the past and what their qualifications are. I will be in the Forum on July 9th and at the Forum on July 16. I think the School Board is July 24th. I hope to see more people at these Forums.
