DeSantis is over reaching. If this ever passes the democrats will be getting a second look due to the regressive taxes needed to fill the shortfall of funds for services.

I would submit that taxpayers are not as upset over having to pay taxes as some would want you to think. We need roads, bridges, infrastructure, LEOs, Firefighters, Parks, et al… and yes, those things require funding.

What taxpayers are really upset over is WHAT these politicians DO with our tax dollars. But politicians wont dare talk about that. So, they just point in another direction and say, “Hey, is that a duck over there?”

Legalize recreational cannabis and use the tax money to fill in the gap.

Instead of all the special Holiday Taxes, (except maybe the School Supply Tax), use that Money to fill in for doing away completely with Property Taxes on those who are 60 Years of Age and Older.

Also, If the Property Taxes raise about $20 Billion for Schools, what does the Lottery raise?
