To the person that said it is a good hire, you are incorrect. I am also white. This woman isn’t qualified for tenure and yet she will be given automatic tenure upon leaving office of president in 5 years. The state will only be paying $200,000 of her $650,000 per year. That doesn’t taken into account her Christmas bonus of $86,000 beginning Dec 2026 or the car and travel budget. The FAMU Foundation is expected to raid scholarship funds to pay her at the tune of $400,000 per year. Furthermore, she has ZERO experience and this will be on the job training for her. We really don’t need a corporate lobbies and GOB RNC committee member. She is sent to undermine tenure etc. for the faculty while getting tenure herself. She isn’t qualified to review tenure applications and post tenure review in diverse fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, engineering etc. Her nomination has already resulted in 40% drop in alumni donations and will likely be more because they donate to scholarship funds etc. and not funding some lawyer that isn’t even on the Florida Bar Association. At the end of the day, Mrs. Johnson is just a over priced lobbyist.

I just do not get FAMU…and yes…I am Caucasian, and based on past experiences in this town, if you are white skinned, you “just don’t get it”.
Please open your minds and look at 21st century reality.
This is a good hire.
Give this African American, very accomplished Woman a chance.
Your fears are so lame and19th Century thinking.
She deserves a chance to succeed, without you jeopardizing, and placing roadblocks in her way.
If she is successful, then support her, but don’t set up some archaic barriers to her hinder her efforts.
