You are looking at selling the property to the Capital City Country Club in the amount of $1,255,000. Ask the Country Club what they will sell you the Club House, Pool and Tennis Courts for. I would almost bet it will be more. I would buy them out, then lease it back to them for $2,000 a Month and THEY have to maintain the Property including the Building and Pool and other Structures on the Property. If it needs a new Roof or A/C or Repaving, they must do it. Study the Leases that Wal-Mart had back in the 80's.

I would not sell it.

If the land was going to be developed the price would be much higher. The price isn't my biggest concern. The clubhouse, pool and tennis court isn't owned by the city, just the golf course itself. My concern is that public land will now be private land and they can make it a private golf couse. Right now it's semi private and open for the public to play during the week.
The financial management can be looked into but most of the repairs come as a result of a direct hit of the tornado that ripped through a year or so ago. The price is a fraction of a percentage of the city budget. I don't see any benefit to the community to sell the land. It will definitely benefit the members of the country club.

Since the property needs so much repair done, I would like to know WHY haven't they been keeping up with the Repairs over the Years? was it not earning enough Money? Are the Board Members being paid too much? Are they mismanaging the Money? Before it is sold, maybe you should bring in the Florida DOGE to do a full Audit to see if it is even worth keeping as a Golf Club. Maybe it is better off as another Charlie Ward style Sports Park.
