That’s the typical Leon County voter. Throw money into a giant black hole. Ms. Wood has devoted her life to helping students and is completely devoted to our public schools.I hate seeing these negative comments about a true public servant. When she was a principal at SAIL, she literally saved my kid’s life. If she called for a millage increase to help our teachers, custodians, and bus drivers get a salary increase, I trust her 100%.
As for administrative cuts, Rocky has cut $1.2 million from the District administration and plans to make more cuts. At a certain point, it’s like trying to squeeze juice out of a turnip! If the state won’t step up, we need to.

Leon County Schools went Woke and now they are Broke. There is a reason why parents are choosing private schools and homeschooling for their children. Parents do not want their kids indoctrinated. Rosanne Wood and Rocky Hannah should be removed from office for their stupidity alone. Throwing other people’s money at their problems isn’t a solution.

Sure, Higher taxes that makes sense… (not), coming from a former overpaid Administrator who is now a part -Time board member of the Board making nearly 50 k a year part time. while the county’s Maintenance and Support Staff are earning 20’s 30k a year full time.
Follow the money trail- it leads to the district offices, overpaid washed up administrators, political appointees, created positions, retirees returning making more money.
planning retreats and overpriced logos. School sites are site based managed not sure why we have so many at the district office folks making well over 100k plus paid phones, take home cars gas cards etc. I hear LCS paid 80k + just to have some lady’s office remodeled at the county office. or million dollar each for turf fields going into this shortfall- where is Ron’s Florida DOGE when you need them.

I’m baffled that the school choice party is speaking out against higher property taxes. This is what was voted for; less student enrollment can only lead to higher taxes, we can’t have it both ways.

My elementary school was bulldozed, replaced, and renamed. My middle school was turned into an elementary school, and later closed. My high school was closed and is currently being used for storage.

Like all illiberals, Wood thinks the solution to every problem is throwing more of other people‘s money at it.
