Community Events Set for Police Chief Revell

The City of Tallahassee has scheduled three events for the community to meet new Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell who will be sworn-in on January 6th,

“We’re going to have real conversations about real issues. I hope you take the time to attend one of the upcoming meetings because opening the lines of communication is a critical first step,” said Chief Revell.

According to a City press release, the community is invited to following events:

  • Monday, Jan. 6, at 10 a.m., the official swearing-in of Chief Revell will be held at Jack McLean Community Center, located at 700 Paul Russell Road.
  • Thursday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m., the community is invited to a reception-style meet-and-greet with Chief Revell at Hilaman Golf Course, located at 2737 Blair Stone Road.
  • Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m., the community is invited to meet Chief Revell at Sue Herndon McCollum Community Center at Lafayette Park, 501 Ingleside Avenue.

Additionally, Chief Revell plans to establish a citizens committee to enhance the two-way communication between TPD and residents. More details about the creation of the committee, including how to apply to serve on it, will be shared in early 2020.

In fact, I don't see any county commissars there...probably because Revell reports to the city.
        Was Walt even there?
