Home Sales Finish December Strong, Up 7.2% in 2019

Sales of existing single-family homes in Leon county increased 43.4% when compared to numbers sold in the same month one year ago. There were 198 single-family home resales in December 2018 and 284 resales in December 2019. Last month there were 216 existing single-family homes sold.

The average sales price in December 2019 increased 2.5% to $270,409 from $263,725 one year ago.

Annual trends show that single-family home sales increased to an annual rate of 3,279 in December, up from the 3,193 reported last month. The annual rate of sales is 7.2% above the annual rate of 3,059 reported a year ago.

The average price of homes sold over the last twelve months in Leon county was $265,171. This is 1.6% above the $261,066 sales price reported one year ago.
