Based on reports from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH) and Capital Regional Medical Center (CRMC), there are a total of 43 COVID-19 patients being treated at the two hospitals. TMH reported 19 patients and CRMC reported 24.
TR has been tracking current hospitalizations since June 1. See chart below.
In addition, TMH reported that there were two COVID-19 patients in the ICU. TMH has 46 adult ICU beds.

Question for the staff of Tallahasseereports.com:
I went to the ACHA website this morning and it shows that Leon County has 66 of it's 72 Adult ICU beds currently occupied. It shows that there are only 6 Adult ICU beds left available at this time.
That is up from 7/1/2020 when the ACHA website showed only 8 Adult ICU beds were available in Leon County.
Question:
What happens IF and/or When all of the Adult ICU beds are occupied and there is a need for them due to a COVID-19 surge in Leon County (in practical terms)? Will the hospitals be "overwhelmed"?
Do you know if the local hospitals have a plan in place if the hospitals do become overwhelmed?

60 Hospitalizations (3% of all cases)
8 Deaths (0% of all cases)
Statewide 8% of cases are hospitalized and 2% of all cases end in death.

Likely folks being admitted and discharged over the course of the day is not meshing with the time of day the hospital reports their totals.
Try closer to 70 now. All in the span of 10 days.

When simmilar numbers in the past were hospitalized from common cold and flu related issues the prognosis was always 100% diagnosed as respiratory related issues. No panic then. And some ended up in the ICU and...gasp...hide under your covers...some even passed away from these respiratory related issues in the past.
Remember this: November 4th, 2020. Right after the National Presidential Election your struggle will be all over. We will go back to the previous method of reporting respiratory related issues.
