The Leon County girls high school volleyball season began this past week with most teams playing multiple games.
Listed below are the results of 16 games played during the the week ending August 26, 2022.
Among the traditional Leon County volleyball powers, Chiles High School won a pair of 4 set matches to finish the week 2-0. Chiles beat Florida State University High School (FSUHS) and Forest High School (Ocala).
FSHUS finished the week 1-1 with a three set win over Arnold and a loss to Chiles.
Leon High School, the defending 6A district champions, played only once during the week and lost to Forest High School (Ocala). The score of that match is not yet available.
Lincoln High School, which moved from the 6A to 5A class this year, lost to Pensacola Catholic and Chiles to finish the week 0-2.
In other action, Maclay High School won a pair of matches beating North Florida Christian in 3-sets and edging Liberty County 15-11 in the 5th set.
Next Week
On Tuesday, August 30th, FSUHS travels to Chiles High School for an early season re-match and Leon High School will play at Lincoln High School.
Also on Tuesday, two undefeated teams will face-off when Maclay (2-0) faces Blountstown (2-0).
