Breaking: Another $50,000 in California Money Hits Jeremy Matlow’s Political Committee

Two weeks ahead of pivotal city elections, state campaign records show that Jeremy Matlow’s political committee received $50,000 in donations from a California progressive group – the Green Advocacy Project – and the group’s founder.

In addition, during this period the political committee received a $25,000 donation from a group with a virtual office based in Dover, Delaware.

Records show that $125,000, or 85%, of the total campaign funds raised by Matlow’s political committee – approximately $148,000 – originated from out of Florida.

Matlow, who is attempting to establish a progressive voting majority on the city commission, is using the out of state campaign funds to help City Commissioner Jack Porter and city commission candidate Dot Inman-Johnson.

When Matlow created the PAC early this year, he wrote in a social media post, “in response to the toxic, political negativity launched at people-powered candidates the last two cycles, I’m launching a new political committee.”

The Sources

The latest campaign records show that the Green Advocacy Project donated $25,000 on August 6. To date, the Green Advocacy Project has donated $75,000 to Matlow’s political committee.

The records show that the founder of the Green Advocacy Project, Michael Kieschnick personally donated $25,000 on August 5.

The Green Advocacy Project was founded by Michael Kieschnick, an activist who founded and operated CREDO Mobile, an online advocacy software.

The project was formed in 2017 to advocate for the elimination of the use of traditional energy sources in the United States and a government-subsidized transition to weather-dependent energy.

Kieschnick has a history of supporting progressive causes.

In 2017, Kieschnick co-founded Real Justice PAC, a PAC supporting lenient criminal justice policies and the defund the police movement.

Kieschnick supported the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Kieschnick is also board member with the Tides Foundation. The Tides Foundation has received at least $22 million in donations from George Soros controlled non-profits.

The Green Advocacy Project lists a leadership team with significant political experience with the national progressive movement.

Becky Bond, a board member, was formerly a senior advisor to the Bernie Sanders 2016 presidential campaign and political director of CREDO Mobile.

Zack Malitz, a board member, helped lead the digital organizing department for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign.

Mysterious Delaware Donor

For first time, a group called “Local Jobs and Economic Development” based in Dover, Delaware donated $25,000 to Matlow’s political committee. The address – 8 The Green Suite #14251 – appears to be a virtual office location.

TR is continuing to research this group.

Previous Donations

TR was the first, and to date the only media outlet, to report about the initial $25,000 contribution from the group that was logged in financial reports on July 22.

Another $25,000 donation was reported in campaign financial documents as being received on July 29.

TR reported that mailers recently sent to Northeast voters supporting Inman Johnson were funded by Matlow’s PAC.

Conservatives *love* that money == speech and the abomination of the Citizens United ruling when it allows whoever to spend whatever during state and federal elections. Given that, I don't understand why this should bother anyone on this site?

Maybe when TPD marches down your street and fires paintballs at you for sitting on your porch that will put some sense in your noggins to vote this Commies out.

Weather-dependent energy aka solar is good for Pro-Hams Progressive Democrat Donors. We need to retain the character of our Republic before it's taken over by communists!

Other than to fund his next campaign, is the PAC giving money to other screwball candidates?

If you want Tallahassee to become the San Francisco of Florida... vote for the Progressive Lunatics. If you want our fair City to continue of a reasonable path forward... reject the Progressive Lunatics.

    It's just that simple.
