The State of Florida employment report for December shows that Leon County added 316 jobs. This month’s gain follows a loss of jobs in November. The unemployment rate fell from 4.6% in November to 4.4% in December.
Approximately 2,934 more people were working in December of this year when compared to December of last year. The latest report shows that 144,672 people were employed in December, 2016. This a 1.85% increase over the 141,738 people employed during December of last year.
At the state-level, Florida gained jobs (41,000) in December. The unemployment rate decreased from 4.9% in November to 4.7% in December.
