We post original news reporting, in addition to raw information, such as government documents. During 2016 we have averaged 40,000 pageviews a month. We publish new content three-four times a week.
We also publish a print newspaper two times a month which is distributed to 5000 households.

Our story
TallahasseeReports.com started in 2009 as an online blog with the goal of providing investigative reports focused on local government. As time has passed, we have expanded local news coverage by exploring partnerships with local radio stations and local TV stations and by employing a freelance reporter.
Whenever possible, we post original source materials – budget spreadsheets, memos, state reports and documents.
We also provide detailed news accounts and features on relevant issues. Our objective is to give readers the inside scoop on what’s really going on in local government. We publish investigative stories and in-depth reports that examine the intricacies of complex issues.
The Tallahassee Reports print edition, which began 2013, is an effort to inform more people about local government decisions and actions that would otherwise go unreported.
Our goal is simple: provide investigative reports on local government issues and detailed analysis on the status of the local business climate to as many readers as possible.
Our Mission:
- OUR PURPOSE is to enhance our community by providing information about the decisions and actions of local governments in Leon County.
- OUR GOAL is to provide the community with a source of local news that can be trusted to be independent and free of conflicts of interest.
- To that end, employees of Tallahassee Reports will not sit on any governmental boards.
