First Week of August: Northwest Tallahassee Leads in Violent and Property Crime Incidents

Reports provided by the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) show that there were 16 violent incidents and 70 property incidents reported from August 1st – 7th.

A regional breakdown of the incidents – based on TPD defined quadrants – shows that the Northwest section of Tallahassee led with 6 violent incidents and 31 property incidents.

Northwest Tallahassee is defined as the area west of Monroe Street, North of North of Pensacola. See map below.

During this period, city-wide, there were:

  • 28 Auto-Burglaries
  • 24 Auto Thefts
  • 20 Residential Burglaries
  • 6 Sexual Batteries
  • 5 Commercial Burglaries
  • 4 Aggravated Assault & Batteries
  • 3 Death Investigations
  • 1 Armed Robbery

TPD Quadrants

TPD reports the location of crime incidents based on “Beat Boundaries” and “Quadrants. The four quadrants are Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. The “Beats” included in each quadrants are shown below.

    WOW......if you change it up, make North against South, the NORTH side WINS by a Landslide.

    North: Violent Crime :13 Property Crime: 43
    South: Violent Crime: 3 Property Crime: 27

    Commissioner Proctor should be a little Proud, Crime in his District is down BUT, Crime where he ACTUALL lives is UP.
