TR’s Weekly Crime Tracker: Aug. 29th-Sep. 4th

Information provided by the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) shows that there were 17 violent incidents and 80 property incidents reported for the week of August 29th – September 4th.

A regional breakdown of the incidents – based on TPD defined quadrants – shows that the Southwest quadrant of Tallahassee led the week with 30 property incidents and the Northwest quadrant lead with 8 violent incidents.

During this period, city-wide, there were:

  • 35 Auto-Burglaries
  • 23 Auto Thefts
  • 18 Residential Burglaries
  • 4 Commercial Burglaries
  • 4 Aggravated Assault & Batteries
  • 4 Death Investigations
  • 2 Strongarm Robberies
  • 5 Sexual Batteries

TPD Quadrants

TPD reports the location of crime incidents based on “Beat Boundaries” and “Quadrants. The four quadrants are Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. The “Beats” included in each quadrants are shown below.
