Single-Family Resales Increase in September, Prices Down

Sales of existing single-family homes in Leon county increased 35.2% when compared to numbers sold in the same month one year ago. There were 210 single-family home resales in September 2018 and 284 resales in September 2019. Last month there were 332 existing single-family homes sold.

The average sales price in September 2019 decreased 3.0% to $265,582 from $273,917 one year ago.

Annual trends show that single-family home sales increased to an annual rate of 3,120 in September, up from the 3,046 reported last month. The annual rate of sales is 0.2% below the annual rate of 3,125 reported a year ago.

The average price of homes sold over the last twelve months in Leon county was $263,345. This is 2.90% above the $255,968 sales price reported one year ago.
