Late last night the Tallahassee Police Department reported an investigation is underway related to a shooting incident that took place on Gardenview Way in Killearn Estates.
The TPD release, included below, states that the shooting took place on December 8th at approximately 11:24 in 3400 block of Gardenview Way.
The report states that “Officers discovered several bullets were fired at a residence occupied by several people. Thankfully no one was injured during the incident. “
It appears the incident was first reported on Facebook, approximately three hours before the TPD press release, by Killearn Estates resident and former City Commission candidate Bill Schack.
Schack wrote, “It is very concerning that there was a drive by shooting in Killearn Estates last night, and there was no report about it. Unless I missed it, there was no press release by the City of Tallahassee Police Department posted on social media.

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a shooting incident which occurred on Sunday night, December 8, 2019 at approximately 11:24 p.m. Officers responded to the 3400 block of Gardenview Way after residents reported gunshots were heard in the area. Officers discovered several bullets were fired at a residence occupied by several people. Thankfully no one was injured during the incident.
Officers began an on-scene investigation which included processing the scene for any evidence to include projectiles and shell casings, speaking with any witnesses, and locating any video surveillance capturing the incident. At this time, investigators are working to develop a suspect description including any vehicles.
