Airport Traffic Up 11.7% in February

The latest information from the Tallahassee International Airport shows that passenger traffic increased 11.7% in February when compared to traffic one year ago. The number of passengers was up from 63,615 during last February to 71,088 this year.

The Passenger Traffic Report shows passenger counts increased for the three major carriers. American was up 16.7%, the Delta Group was up 6.2% and Silver Airways was up 16.1%.

The graph below shows the annualized number of passengers for the last 24-months. The annual rate of passengers at TIA in February was 881,525. This is 7.96% above the annualized rate reported during this month last year. The annualized number of passengers is calculated by summing the previous 12 months of traffic.

The annualized passenger traffic before the Great Recession was approximately 947,000 in 2007.
