TR’s Weekly Crime Tracker: October 12th-18th

Information provided by the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) shows there were 73 incidents reported during the week of October 12 – 18, 2020. The data indicates there were 50 property incidents and 23 violent incidents.

A regional breakdown of the incidents – based on TPD defined quadrants – shows the Northwest quadrant of Tallahassee led the week with 22 property incidents and 7 violent incidents.

A map of the defined quadrants is shown below.

During this period, city-wide, there were:

  • 23 Auto-Burglaries,
  • 15 Residential Burglaries,
  • 8 Auto Thefts,
  • 8 Sexual Batteries,
  • 3 Commercial Burglaries,
  • 2 Armed Robberies and
  • 1 Death Investigation.  

TPD Quadrants

TPD reports the location of crime incidents based on “Beat Boundaries” and “Quadrants. The four quadrants are Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. The “Beats” included in each quadrants are shown below.

    Help me out. The list doesn't seem to match the graph. Does the text refer to a different week than the graph?
