TPD Makes Arrest in Shooting Death

On September 1, 2021 the Tallahassee Police Department arrested Terence Grice, age 29, for homicide, attempted homicide, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The altercation occurred at the 2600 block of West Tennessee Street, sometime around 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021.  According to TPD, police officers were monitoring a crowd that gathered in the parking lot of Café Shisha when officers heard gunshots.

When the officers arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found one victim who died as a result of his wounds, and the other victim involved was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following an investigation by TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit, it was determined the shooting was the result of a verbal altercation that turned physical between the suspect and the victims. During the altercation, the suspect produced a handgun and shot both victims.

The city can’t demand anything of these young black men. The must take pride and accountability in themselves. To whom must is given, much is required. These are not babies, they know right from wrong. Yes it is ashamed of all these unnecessary killing but put the blame where it belongs . It is really frightening out there.

"Terence Grice, age 29, for homicide, attempted homicide, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon." ………………….. Where are the Community Leaders? Why aren't they rising up and demanding that the BlackMen in Tallahassee become Model Citizens instead of become a Blight on the City? Great Job TPD.
