Slow Roll Bike Ride with the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department

Where: Smokey Hollow Commemoration, 550 East Pensacola St.

What you’ll get: In conjunction with the Tallahassee Senior Center, Tallahassee-Leon County’s Planning Department staff will lead participants on a leisurely 5-mile ride along the Capital Cascades Corridor while discussing the urban-planning that shaped the way it looks today. Expect to learn about urban design concepts, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, and environmental planning, as well as historical and cultural preservation projects along the corridor.

Friday the 13th Full Moon Guided Hike

Where: Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park, 3540 Thomasville Rd.

What you’ll get: You’ll explore the Lake Overstreet trails with Ranger Billy Blair under the light of May’s full “flower moon.” Sneakers or hiking boots are required and don’t forget your flashlight, bug spray, and water!
