Friday the 13th Full Moon Guided Hike
Date: Friday, May 13, 2022, begins @ 7:45 p.m.
Where: Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park, 3540 Thomasville Rd.

What you’ll get: You’ll explore the Lake Overstreet trails with Ranger Billy Blair under the light of May’s full “flower moon.” Sneakers or hiking boots are required and don’t forget your flashlight, bug spray, and water! Total hike is about 3.5 miles. Please meet at 7:30 p.m., the hike begins at 7:45 p.m. Sign up by calling the park at 850-487-4556.

Island Wing Annual Luau Party

MOGS Golf Tournament

What you’ll get: The Men of Good Shepherd are hosting the 27th Annual MOGS Open Golf Tournament and Silent Auction. All golfers are welcome to join. The cost of the tournament is $80 per golfer, and includes green fees, cart fee, prizes, dinner, and two chances to win $10,000. Non-golfers are welcome too, they can participate in the dinner and silent auction. Entry for non-golfers is $20.00 per person. The proceeds from this event will be used for supporting Thanksgiving and Christmas season programs.

Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill Live Show

Where: Theatre Tallahassee, 1861 Thomasville Rd.

What you’ll get: The time is 1959. The place is a seedy bar in Philadelphia. The audience is about to witness one of Billie Holiday’s last performances, given four months before her death. More than a dozen musical numbers are interlaced with salty, often humorous, reminiscences to project a riveting portrait of the lady and her music.
