HCA Florida Capital Hospital announces new board member
HCA Florida Capital Hospital recently announced that Florida State University’s Dean & Professor of the College of Nursing, Jing Wang, Ph.D., MPH, MSN, R.N., FAAN, has joined the Board of Trustees.
Wang earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Multidisciplinary Master in Public Health, and Graduate Certificate in Clinical and Translational Science from the University of Pittsburgh. She received her undergraduate degree at Jiangxi Medical College in Nanchang, Jiangxi, P.R. China.
Wang is an interdisciplinary trained researcher, educator, policy, and executive leader in nursing and higher education. In addition, she is a recognized national leader in digital health, using computing platforms, connected devices, software, and sensors for health care and related uses.
Capital City Bank announces officer promotions
Capital City Bank recently recognized three members of its Tallahassee team of bankers. Retail Business Banker Justin Forehand, Central Underwriting Manager Daria Ibach, and Regional Experience Manager Cinnamon McCurdy have been named vice president.
Forehand joined Capital City Bank in 1997 as a teller. Between 2013-2013 Forehand served as the market president in Jefferson, Madison, and Tylor counties then returned to Capital City Bank in 2022 as a Tallahassee retail business banker. His career in the financial industry includes roles in office management, commercial and consumer lending, and credit analysis.
Ibach is a tenured associate with 14 years of service with Capital City Bank. As central underwriting manager, she oversees a team of underwriters and analysts, specializing in consumer, small business, and direct and indirect auto lending functions. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University College of Arts and Sciences, Master of Business Administration from Florida State University College of Business, and Juris Master’s from the Florida State College of Law.
McCurdy joined Capital City Bank as a client experience manager in December 2021. In January 2022, McCurdy was promoted to regional experience manager and is responsible for overseeing operations and ensuring consistent and exceptional delivery of bank products and services at five local banking offices.

This picture…sad. Downtown Tallahassee, now, has to have ‘events’ to draw people there. Didn’t used to be this way. Every Saturday the place was always teaming with folks.
