LOCAL NEWS

The Leon County Commission will collect approximately $16 million in new general fund revenue 2024. Approximately $9 million will be allocated to law enforcement. Get the details.

A suspect fired shots at a home in southwest Tallahassee on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. LCSO said shots were fired at 4:49 pm. at the 4300 block of Windy Pine Court as someone drove by a home in the residential area near the Tallahassee International Airport. A bullet struck a window of the home, according to LCSO, but no injuries were reported and no suspects were identified.

A man in reportedly bloodstained clothing was arrested early Wednesday and charged with attempted murder and kidnapping. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Robert Ihrke III at nearly 1 a.m. after finding him at a home with a woman who had been stabbed multiple times and had multiple cuts. She was transported to a hospital for treatment to her wounds, which LCSO described as non-life-threatening.

FLORIDA NEWS

The Florida Democratic Party on Wednesday filed three Ethics and Elections complaints against high-ranking members of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive staff. Party Chair Nikki Fried filed the complaints on behalf of the party against DeSantis Chief of Staff James Uthmeier, Legislative Affairs Director Stephanie Kopelousos, and Director of Policy and Budget Chris Spencer.

University professors and students are urging a federal appeals court to uphold a decision blocking a 2022 Florida law that would restrict the way race-related concepts can be taught in classrooms — a law that Gov. Ron DeSantis dubbed the “Stop WOKE Act.”

I believe that you already know the answers to your questions.
We have a Constitution in this country and your fear issues can be litigated in a federal court if you feel those rights are violated.
Given the current political environment, the process will be challenging because of the deep state, far left agenda. Those folks have stacked the deck against you.
The solution is to kick those people in power to the curb and relegate them to the ash heap.
Show no mercy to those who try to take away your constituents rights.
The certainly don’t care about you!

  2. Let me get this straight… one the one hand, Leon County holds steady on their millage rate and realizes a near $13-million increase in revenue flowing to the coffers, and allocates some of the windfall toward Law Enforcement… on the other hand, the City (where the majorly of the population of Leon live and own property) somehow needs a tax increase to help fund city LEOs?… hmmm… something smells fishy here, and I don’t mean just Nikki Weed.

On another note: Since there is no such thing as a “transgender” anything… Gender Pretender is the appropriate term to describe those who suffer from and act upon the scientific, medical, biological, and psychological diagnosed mental condition known as Gender Dysphoria/Dystopia. They need professional help with their disorder, not cultural or social affirmation of their delusion.

  3. Just wondering. If I am (name the religion) and someone in authority approaches me legitimately and starts asking questions and they are wearing a pin that symbolizes the complete opposite (and perhaps a violent history track record) of my religion…am I allowed to feel threatened and not answer any questions based on that observation? File a lawsuit?

If I am (name the political party) and someone in authority approaches me legitimately and starts asking questions and they are wearing a pin that symbolizes the complete opposite of my political beliefs (perhaps violent history toward my beliefs)…am I allowed to feel threatened and not answer any questions based on that observation? File a lawsuit?

Am I allowed to recognize the complete falsehood of the T in the alphabet gang, refuse to trust the authority based on my beliefs because they wear the pin and it is counter to all logic?
I have supported LE my whole life in many ways, but this is over the top.

  4. Pat A:
You arent far off already! Kids in Tallahassee can indicate they are a dog, cat, etc and schools provide litter box, food bowl, etc. Roberts Elem?

  5. “that would restrict the way race-related concepts can be taught in classrooms” ……………… The word “Concepts” lead me to believe it means “Opinions”.

Hey Nikki, maybe there should be an Investigation into all of the Contributions received over the Years by the The Florida Democratic Party. I will bet a lot of Ethics Violations would be found. This is why MY Campaigns have been 90% Self Funded.

  6. All the complaining about “Stop WOKE Act.” is really about the Gender Pretenders being able to shove their lifestyle down the throats of normal people. No one cares what they do inside their own homes. What’s next? Being able to marry your sister or your dog? Where does it end with them?

One day, like all of that are over age 50, they will look back at their youth. Me, I see tube socks, short shorts, head bands and tank tops. And I laugh but that was normal in the seventies. The Gender Pretenders will look back, if they haven’t committed suicide by then, and be embarrassed. Because it ain’t normal!

And it speaks volumes about the Democrat Party as a whole supporting such nonsense.

  7. That’s funny, Nikki the reefer tycoon, the one that put her pie face on every gas pump in Florida… is filing an ethics complaint. Hahaha, you can’t make it up.
