Airport Traffic Jumps 22.6% in February

The latest information from the Tallahassee International Airport shows that February 2024 passenger traffic increased 22.6% when compared to traffic one year ago. The number of passengers was up 13,178 from the 58,323 reported during February 2023 to 71,501 in February 2024.

Relative to 2023, the Passenger Traffic Report shows passenger counts were up 21.4% for American Airlines, up 2.3% for the Delta Group and down 12.9% for Silver Airways. New service provider Jet Blue added 6,566 passengers in February 2024.

The graph below shows the annualized number of passengers for the last 37-months. The highlighted numbers on the graph indicate the annual traffic during the month of February over the last four years.

The annual rate of passengers at TIA in February 2024 – 875,879 – was up 6.6% when compared to one year ago. The annualized number of passengers is calculated by summing the previous 12 months of traffic.

  1. If I did the Math correctly, JBU is averaging 110 passengers per flight. At that load factor they should be pulling out of TLH by the end of Summer.

  2. So glad to have JetBlue service. I hope it draws enough people to stay and expand routes. They are far superior to the other airlines in Tallahassee.
