The latest job report shows that Leon County added 914 jobs in June when compared to last month. There were 156,671 people working in Leon County in June compared to May’s revised employment number of 155,680.

The Florida A&M Board of Trustees held a meeting Tuesday to discuss the presidential search and selection, following President Dr. Larry Robinson’s announcement of stepping down from his position about two weeks ago. The board also announced that the search for the next full-time president will be discussed during their retreat in August.

Developing Story: On Saturday City Commissioner Jack Porter and city commission candidate Dot Inman-Johnson attended a forum hosted by TCAC, an extreme left-wing group that has labeled TPD “cop killers” and verbally attacked Israel.

  1. All of the tax dollars that go into “higher education” have driven the cost up so far that they’re now dependent upon those tax dollars.

    It’s and endless spiral.

  2. It cost a significant amount of money to attend college. Why can’t universities survive on the tuition monies they charge instead of being reliant on tax dollars?
