LOCAL NEWS

Seven months through 2024, the number of crime incidents reported by the Tallahassee Police Department remain down when compared to 2023. Get the details.

A man was hit and killed overnight Sunday, according to the Tallahassee Police Department. TPD said it happened near the intersection of Ocala Road and West Pensacola Street. As of 6:45 a.m. Sunday, road closures were impacting traffic in that area.

TPD is currently conducting a homicide investigation following a shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of Hernando Drive at approximately 6:16 a.m. on Sunday. When officers arrived on scene they located one person, an adult male, deceased inside the residence.

FLORIDA NEWS

Hurricane Debby made landfall about 7 a.m. Monday near Steinhatchee with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph, bringing the rural Big Bend region its second hurricane in less than a year, according to the National Hurricane Center. Track live updates here.
