On Wednesday, October 9th, Maclay, FSUHS, and Leon high schools took part in a regular season boys varsity golf tournament at Golden Eagle Country Club.
FSUHS won the tournament with an overall stroke count of 171. The Seminoles had two golfers place in the top 5 with Lawson Kingry (Sr.) placing first with a round of 40 and Hunter Glantz (8th grade) placing 4th shooting a 42. Other notable performances from the FSUHS include Donovan Daniell (8th grade) who shot a 44, Quinn Mask (7th grade) who shot a 45 and Robbie Vos (Fr.) who shot a 46.
Not far from FSUHS was Maclay who placed second with an overall stroke count of 173. The Marauders also had two golfers in the top 5 with Hayden Chaires (Jr.) placing joint second shooting a 41 and Hudson Miller (Jr.) in 5th shooting a 43. Other Notable performances from Maclay include Barnes Ray (Sr.) shooting a 44 and Luke Jackson (Jr.) shooting a 45.
Leon claimed third place while having a combined stroke score of 184. The Lions had one golfer finish in the top 5 with Soloman Hardy (Fr.) placing joint second shooting a 41. Other notable performances from Leon include Gage Reinstein (Sr.) shooting a 45 and Fenner David (Sr.) finishing with a 54.
