Boys
The Lincoln Trojans started their season off with a win against the Taylor County Bulldogs on Nov. 5. The Trojans outscored the Bulldogs 3-0 in the first half and finished the game with a final score of 5-0.
The Leon Lions and the FSUHS Seminoles played on Nov. 4, with the Seminoles scoring the only goal of the game in the first half. FSUHS went on to beat Leon 1-0.
On Nov. 4, Maclay traveled to Panama City, FL to play Bay High School for their first game of the season. The Marauders won 5-1 and had goals scored from 4 different players. Luke Daunt (Jr.), Jack Daunt (Sr.) and Jac Scovotto (Sr.) all had 1 goal while Barnes Ray (Sr.) scored two goals.
Chiles hosted Columbia on Nov. 4 in a non-conference game that ended in a score of 3-1 favoring the Timberwolves.
Girls
The Chiles Timberwolves got their first win of the season on the road against South Walton on Nov. 5. The Timberwolves beat the Seahawks 1-0 with the only goal of the night being scored by Chiles’ Abbey Griffin (Jr.). Griffin was assisted by Teagan Arceo (Jr.).
Leon’s first game of the season ended in a draw against Arnold High School. Both teams were unable to score resulting in a 0-0 tie.
Lincoln started their season off strong with an away win against Gainesville on Nov. 6. The Trojans pitched a shutout while scoring 3 goals resulting in a 3-0 win.
After their first blowout win against Marianna that ended 8-0, the FSUHS Seminoles faced off against Maclay on Nov. 7. FSHUS kept their winning streak alive by beating the Marauders 4-1 in a non-district matchup.
