On Mar. 1, the Maclay Marauders (21-1-2) beat Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy (19-1-1) in the FHSAA 2A state title match. Both Maclay and Holy Trinity made it to the 3A state semifinals last year but could not capitalize on the opportunity. This year was a much different story.

Andrew Cuomo (D) announced his intention to run for New York City mayor yesterday, jumping into a crowded primary race defined to date by incumbent Eric Adams’ (D) ongoing legal challenges. Cuomo enters the race as a significant favorite to capture the party’s nomination, polling at 38% and leading the second-place candidate by 26 points. Adams sits in third at 10%.
