Football Standout Wins Two Indoor Track State Titles

On Feb. 7, Rickards’ star football player, Davion Crumitie showed off his speed at the 2026 Florida High School Indoor Championships bringing home two state titles in two different events. Crumitie is a three star football recruit listed as the 37th ranked ATH in the 2027 recruiting class by 247 Sports.

Crumitie ran in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, winning both races and setting state records along the way.

Crumitie set a personal record in the 60-meter dash running a 6.73. With this time, he currently holds the best recorded time in Florida and cracked the top 10 in the U.S, ranking 9th.

In the 200-meter dash, Crumitie posted an impressive time of 21.29 seconds, a mark that would rank as the second-fastest in Florida this season if he did not already hold that position. Crumitie owns the state’s second-best time with a personal record of 21.07, which he set on Dec. 20, 2025, at the Galleria Games. His time of 21.07 currently sits as the sixth best time in the U.S.
