Chiles, Lincoln Girls Wrestlers Qualify for State Tournament

Girl wrestlers from Chiles High School and Lincoln High School put in strong performances at the regional championships, sending multiple athletes to the Class 1A state finals next month.

Chiles senior Jordan Herron (29–3) captured a regional title at 130 pounds, while junior Kelsey Marschka (23–7) earned a runner-up finish at 140 pounds.

Lincoln also advanced two wrestlers, led by 100-pound regional champion Sayuri Caceras, a senior with a 32–3 record, and 125-pound senior Amelia McKnight (38–6), who qualified with a second-place regional finish.

These four Leon County athletes will represent their school at the upcoming state championships following dominant postseason runs.
