Tallahassee Suffers Multiple Shootings, Homicide, Over Weekend

The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) is currently conducting a homicide investigation in the 2800 block of Faringdon Drive.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, TPD responded to the area following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, an adult male was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were immediately attempted, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries.

Preliminary findings indicate the shooting occurred during a physical altercation. Currently, there is no known ongoing threat to the public.

This remains an open and active investigation. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident but did not speak with officers on scene to contact TPD at 850-891-4200. Individuals may also remain anonymous by contacting Crime Solvers at 850-574-8477.

Two Unrelated Shootings

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating two early Sunday morning shootings in Tallahassee. According to TPD, the first shooting occurred at 444 W. College Avenue. An adult was shot. TPD says that the person suffered non-life injuries.

The second shooting took place on the 500 Block of W. Osceola Street at 3:36 am. Four adults were shot, all with non-life-threatening injuries.
