President Donald Trump will be in The Villages on Friday to highlight some of his policy initiatives, the Republican Party of Florida announced on Monday.
The event will take place at the Villages Charter School at 3 p.m., according to an advisory from the White House.
The Palm Beach Post reported Trump is expected to return to his private Mar-a-Lago Club this weekend.
This would be his first visit to his Florida home since law enforcement reported a man with multiple weapons rushed a security checkpoint at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner Trump was attending. An officer was reportedly shot but the bullet struck his bulletproof vest.
Cole Allen, 31, of Torrance, California has been arrested and charged with attempting to assassinate Trump.
