Florida High student-athletes Peyton Johnson and Hunter Glantz will represent First Tee Tallahassee and the Big Bend area at the 2026 PGA TOUR Champions PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California.
Johnson and Glantz were selected as two of 80 junior golfers from across the country to participate in the prestigious event, which brings together young golfers from First Tee chapters nationwide alongside professional and amateur players.
According to the press release, “Their selection marks a historic achievement for First Tee Tallahassee, as they become the first golfers from the local program to earn a spot in the national championship.”
The tournament, held annually at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course, features 80 PGA TOUR Champions professionals, 80 First Tee juniors and 160 amateur golfers. Each junior golfer is paired with a PGA TOUR Champions player, providing opportunities for mentorship, competition and relationship-building throughout tournament week.
The press release states that “For Johnson and Glantz, the opportunity represents the culmination of years of dedication to golf and personal development. Their selection recognizes not only their accomplishments on the course but also their leadership, sportsmanship and commitment to the values promoted by First Tee.”
The pair will depart for California on Sept. 14, preparing to compete alongside some of the most accomplished players in professional golf at one of the sport’s most iconic venues.
Pebble Beach Golf Links has hosted multiple U.S. Opens and is widely regarded as one of the premier golf courses in the world. The experience will give Johnson and Glantz the opportunity to compete on a national stage while learning from PGA TOUR Champions professionals.
Johnson and Glantz will represent Florida High, First Tee Tallahassee and the Big Bend area during tournament week.
